What is FUT Champions in EA FC 24?
FUT Champions (formerly known as the ‘Weekend League’ in previous FIFA installments) is a 1v1 ultra-competitive tournament mode in EA FC 24 Ultimate team available during the weekends.
Players take part in the widely popular game mode all around the world and compete to earn the best rewards available in the entirety of FC 24. The tournament consists of 20 games for each player, matchmaking is done through a system EA calls your ‘form’, which basically translates to your current Win/Loss ratio, every player starts with a hidden form score of zero which goes up or down based on your performance.
The more wins you get out of 20 matches the higher your rank at the end of the FC Champions Finals, and the bigger your rewards!
How do I qualify for the FUT Champions Finals?
Players gain entry to Champions by playing and winning matches in the ‘Division Rivals’ competitive game mode available in FC 24 Ultimate Team, which grants you with ‘Qualification points’ as you keep playing.
Once you have earned 1250 ‘Qualification Points’, you automatically become eligible to take part in the Ultimate Team Champions game mode. However, you have to also take part in the FUT Champions Playoffs before competing in the Finals. A minimum of 4 wins out of 10 Playoff matches are required to qualify.
When are FC Ultimate Team Champions Finals available?
FUT Champions Finals are available every single weekend. The game mode begins on Friday and ends on Sunday evening on a weekly basis. You may choose to redeem your Finals Qualification Token at any given moment during the Champions window (Friday to Sunday).
As of January 2024, EA have added an extra day for the finals. So now it ends on Tuesday mornings instead of Monday. There’s no way of telling if this change will be permanent but for now this is the case until the end of the current season.
How does the FUT Champions Ranking system work in EA FC 24?
During the 20 available matches in the Finals, players earn 4 points for a win and 1 point for a loss. The ranks in the FUT Champions Finals are as follows:
- Rank 1: 76-80 pts
- Rank 2: 72-75 pts
- Rank 3: 67-71 pts
- Rank 4: 60-66 pts
- Rank 5: 51-59 pts
- Rank 6: 45-50 pts
- Rank 7: 36-44 pts
- Rank 8: 24-35 pts
- Rank 9: 12-23 pts
- Rank 10: 4-11 pts
What are the rewards for competing in EA FC 24 Champions?
Players receive huge rewards after completing all 20 Champions Finals matches. The more wins you get, the higher your rank in the end and the bigger your rewards, which come in several forms such as:
- Player picks: You get to pick 1 player out of several randomly generated cards, usually with a minimum rating. This can be rewarded to you several times depending on your rank.
- Packs containing players and consumables. The quality and quantity of the packs go up as your rank does.
- FUT Champions Qualification Points, FC 24 coins as well as XP. The amount of all 3 of course depends on your overall performance during the Champions Finals.
