How Challenge Modes Work in MoP Classic

All nine dungeons are available at all times. Your gear scales down, but the dungeon layout, enemy abilities, and core mechanics stay the same. What matters is:

• how fast you finish the run
• whether you reach the required enemy count

The faster the time, the higher the medal tier and the more rewards you unlock for the current season.

Time Ranks: Platinum & Gold

MoP Classic uses four time brackets. These are the current requirements:

Gold Medal

Gold times remain an important benchmark. Achieving Gold grants:

• the original class Challenge Mode transmogs
• teleport spells to each dungeon (8 hour cooldown)
• automatic progress toward Platinum achievements
• foundation for seasonal score tracking

Gold used to be the end goal in original MoP, but in MoP Classic it is a mid tier that still offers meaningful cosmetic rewards.

Platinum Medal

Platinum is the highest time tier and the focus of modern Challenge Modes. It is designed for optimized groups and strict routing. Completing all dungeons on Platinum awards:

• Realm First Platinum achievements
• Platinum dungeon toys

Reaching Platinum automatically grants all lower medals: Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
