But for all its fun, OSRS is one of the grindiest games ever made, to the point where you might as well call it "Old School Rune Sweatshop". Every other 99'ed skill is another 13 million XP you'd need to grind out, endgame PvM sits behind walls of quests, stats, gear, and hours upon hours spent clicking the same rock, rooftop or monster. Sure, most of the game's charm lies in its old-school design, it's in the name after all, but it is also the reason so many players burn out when they realize they've effectively gotten a second job. There can be fun in the grind, but for lots of people, devoting 40 hours a week to clicking trees and rocks simply has no appeal.
