What is the difference between unlocking T6 and unlocking T8 gathering access?
Each tier jump moves you into more dangerous territory. T6 resources sit mainly in red zones with full-loot PvP risk, while T7 and T8 are Outlands black-zone resources contested by territory-holding guilds. Higher tiers are also worth dramatically more on the market, which is why the fame grind to unlock them is steep and why most players pay to skip it.
Does unlocking a higher tier remove my access to lower tiers?
No, unlocking any tier keeps every tier below it fully accessible, so unlocking T6 Wood still lets you gather T2 through T6 Wood freely.
I already have some Learning Points banked, does that actually change the price?
Yes, if your gathering node already has 20 percent or more fame progress and you have enough banked LP, we use Quick Learn to skip most of the remaining grind. That can make your order up to 20% cheaper than farming it manually.
