More Info
Zul’Gurub is a 20-player raid in World of Warcraft Classic, and is now officially released on the 20th Anniversary Realms in Phase 4. It offers you the chance to earn epic loot, get rare mounts, and gain reputation with the Zandalar Tribe.
The main reason why ZG is so popular is that it helps you gear up between dungeons and harder raids like Blackwing Lair. It is also known for its rare mount drops that many players farm again and again. Since ZG has a shorter reset time, players often spam it to either farm the mounts, get catch-up gear for their mains or alts, or farm reputation.
To make the best out of Zul Gurub for your characters, you need to farm Zandalari Tribe Reputation with Bijou, Coins, and Honor Tokens. On top of that, you'd need to farm the bosses for loot and your tier set, and lastly, the rare mounts if you're after them.
All of this sounds promising and quite exciting until you realize how much of a time commitment it might be.
While ZG is meant to be a "smaller" raid, it can still take 2 to 4 hours to complete, especially if you are running it with random players or pugs. You might end up with a group that struggles with harder bosses like Jin'do the Hexxer or Hakkar if your group is not prepared. Some mechanics require good coordination, like cleansing poisons or managing mind controls. Joining a guild group is usually faster, but that means you have to show up at a scheduled time every few days, like a job.
If you don't want to wreck your nerves, end up wasting hours of your precious gaming time wiping on bosses and being locked out of the raid after a few kills, then we've got you covered. Even if you end up clearing the entire raid with a decent group, chances are you'll be missing out on loot to other players, and might need to farm ZG for quite some time until you get your BIS items or tier set.
The alternative is to team up with our Pro guilds, clear the raid efficiently and on time, and guarantee all the loot you want, even the mounts.
