Introduction

Utilizing the launch of a new expansion and trying to maximize profits in the market with the highest demand during the expansion's life cycle is what drives people early in the expansion to earn a lot of gold. Pandaria is another example of this popular method being applied once again, and trying to get everything ready early is a big and important factor in earning loads of gold that will serve you well during the whole cycle of expansion.

Best Tips to earn gold in Pandaria Classic

In Pandaria, the ways to earn gold are no different than previous expansions. Most people tend to focus on leveling their professions early on and collecting as many important things that make their professions profitable. Were it materials that you sell on Auction House, or utilizing recipes and crafting expensive gear that is usually at its highest cost in the first month of an expansion.

Most people do focus on this aspect, sometimes solely focusing on character or even their main goal to get as much gold as possible, even prioritizing it over gear. Which is a fair thing to do, as the gold you can earn can really be a lot. For just a couple of hours, you can earn 10k+ gold with your professions. Here are the best ones to utilize and to focus on getting.

Gathering Professions: Herbalism and Mining

Both Herbalism and Mining are two professions that are easiest to grasp. You just go and collect stuff around the zones, not having to worry about any complicated recipes or rare materials that you need to get, so you can craft an item to progress through the profession.

In Pandaria, added with MoP Classic, you don’t even have to have maxed out Mining or Herbalism; you can freely take the nodes without any trouble, despite being low skill level; however, you will be getting smaller resources from the said nodes. The items you will obtain are fragments, and 10 of these fragments give you one ore or a herb. Of course, it is best to have it maxed to Cataclysm Cap, and then increase your skill level with the Pandaria Level that goes up to 600.

Gathering Windwool Cloth items for Tailoring: Killing Mobs

This is another good method, early on. Cloth items are always easy to get and sell, but mostly early in the expansion, they cost an absurd amount of gold. Windwool Cloth is the one you will be focusing on, and they drop from loads of mobs. Mainly, it's the mobs that are either Humanoid or mainly are not animals or wildlife. Plenty of mobs around Pandaria drop Windwool Cloth, but due to high demand and a lot of people farming it, you can try and find some of the good spots yourself, which is usually that you can usually discover through quests, after you see that mobs generally drop a lot of said item.

Some of the popular locations are the following:

  • Townlong Steppes: Sre’Vess Isle can be a good way to get lots of Windwool Cloth
  • Dread Wastes: Above the Lake of Stars, around the blue strip on the map, you will be farming Ik’thik Warriors and Ik’thik Slayers.

Crafting Professions: Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, Alchemy

These 4 professions are some of the hardest to get by, but they can earn a lot of gold if you are fast early on to get the recipes you need. Selling items such as BoEs on Auction House can net a lot of gold early on, when these items are Pre-BIS or even BIS for some classes, so opting to get Mining with Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting, Herbalism for Alchemy, and farming mobs with Tailoring is a good way to try to get two birds with one stone.

Farming Greens and BoEs

This is a good method that you can utilize and make good use of while gearing or leveling. BoEs are usually very profitable early on, as a lot of people might need to buy some greens for their undergeared alts, so they have an easier time leveling. They are also used for the Enchanting Profession, so you can disenchant them and use the dust you get for your profession.

Some people also tend to buy these items even for transmog, so there are plenty of reasons to focus on this farming. Other than the dungeons that you will level through or even once you hit 90, just going through them can net you profit and some missing gear pieces.

Another good method will be BoE raid farming, once the raids are ready, and you can join such farms. Raid BoEs, mostly Epic Purple or Rare Blue items, can net you solid profit early on when these items are very expensive on the Auction House and provide you big chunk of gold. This also applies to the newer patches, not just 5.0, but also 5.1 and above.
