Leveling Leatherworking in Pandaria
This profession is a crafting one, meaning that you need to optimize how you spend materials and try to spend the least amount of resources you can. That’s why pairing the Skinning profession will help you cut a lot of losses in the gold department. Here’s how you should progress through it.
500-526
This is the entry to Pandaria’s Leatherworking. You will be able to get 505 from Fur Lining recipes. After that, you can focus on getting the x13 Mist-Touched Leather that requires 65 Sha-Touched Leather.
526-536
These are the following items you will need to craft
- x5 Misthide Boots require 40 Mist-Touched Leather
536-540
After reaching this stage, focus on getting the following:
- x2 Misthide Belt requires 16 Mist-Touched Leather
- x2 Stormscale Boots require 16 Prismatic Scale
540-550
Reaching 540 is already almost halfway, get further progression with:
- x5 Misthide Shoulders requires 40 Mist-Touched Leather
- x5 Stormscale Gloves require 40 Prismatic Scale
550 - 560
After that is concluded, to get to 560, you will need:
- x5 Misthide Gloves require 40 Mist-Touched Leather
- x5 Stormscale Shoulders requires 40 Prismatic Scale
560 - 564
Then the further progress will not require many items, but they will be necessary:
- x2 Misthide Leggings require 20 Mist-Touched Leather
- x2 Stormscale Helm requires 20 Prismatic Scale
564 - 570
To get to 570, you’ll require for you to get these:
- x3 Misthide Helm requires 30 Mist-Touched Leather
- x3 Stormscale Chestguard requires 30 Prismatic Scale
570-600
This is where you will need to buy some recipes that are available from the quest “A Celestial Invitation” (Level 87). Each recipe costs x1 Spirit of Harmony (You need x10 Mote of Harmony to craft one). After that, you can purchase different recipes from the vendors, depending on which faction you are in the Vale of Eternal Blossom:
- Alliance: Tanner Pang in the Shrine of Seven Stars
- Horde: Krogo Darkhide in the Shrine of Two Moons
Recipes you will pick from are from the Contender’s Armor Set. It doesn’t matter which one you will craft; it just has to be part of that collection. You will need x150 Mist-Touched Leather or Prismatic Scale.
