    About our WoW SoD Blackwing Lair Boost

    In keeping with its theme of completely overhauling most of World of Warcraft's well known systems, Blizzard has also reworked how every single Raid in the game plays out. That, of course, includes Blackwing Lair, one of the most beloved raids of Vanilla WoW.

    Although SoD's initial release capped player levels at 25 during Phase 1, the game has since progressed all the way up to Phase 6, having released revamped versions of old raids and entirely new ones, such as Sunken Temple & Gnomeregan. Although at its core, Blackwing Lair is still the raid most Vanilla vets and Classic players are familiar with, many of its core gameplay mechanics have seen some changes, including:

    • Completely  revamped Boss fights
    • Reworked scaling with much more difficult boss & trash packs
    • New Loot tables, including new Weapons, Armor, special Class Trinkets & more
    • The newly reworked Tier 2 Class Set

    And of course, a completely revamped difficulty system. Unlike the standard Normal-Heroic-Mythic difficulty system most players are familiar with, Season of Discovery instead gives each raid its unique scaling system. For Molten Core, these were called Heat Levels, which added progressively stacking fire damage DOTs to all players in the raid.

    In Blackwing Lair, this takes the form of Dragonflight Trials, which can add up to 5 different trials at once per raid. The more Trials that are active at any given time, the better loot you'll be getting from each boss fight, where each Trial increases boss health & damage, and applies a variety of affix-like effects to every fight.

    And while that's all well and good, actually completing BWL can be really tough, not to mention doing so with all 5 Trials in place. LFG isn't getting any better, with the well known elitist toxicity of current day Classic & Retail having carried over straight to SoD. Multi hour queues, groups that fall apart at the first wipe, and mass player leaving with every boss kill when their desired trinket or tier piece token does or doesn't drop. All of it can be very frustrating & time consuming, especially if you don't have a team to clear the raid with.
