Do I need to register before buying?

About our OSRS Maggot King Service

The Maggot King is a repeatable solo boss in Old School RuneScape, added on 30 June 2026, that can be unlocked by completing The Blood Moon Rises, a Grandmaster quest that closes the twenty-year Myreque saga. It can be found deep inside of Vampyrium, the Vampyres' home realm, and Jagex tuned it to sit between Phosani's Nightmare and the Inferno, which makes it one of the toughest post-quest solo fights added in years.

Players grind the Maggot King OSRS boss for three big ticket drops: the Crimson Kisten is a crush special-attack weapon whose Brutal Swing rolls four accuracy checks at once, and it finally fills the crush spec niche against targets like Phosani's Nightmare, the Grotesque Guardians, and Araxxor. The Elder Venator Fang etches at 84 Crafting and combines with a Necklace of Anguish to create the Necklace of Rupture, the new best-in-slot Ranged amulet. On top of that sits the Maggot Marquess pet, chased through a post-kill mechanic where you sacrifice your loot for a better hatch chance.

Getting to the fight is a grind of its own. You need The Blood Moon Rises finished, which means a Grandmaster quest chain through Sins of the Father and A Night at the Theatre, plus leveled up skills, including 74 Slayer, 74 Woodcutting, 70 Fletching, and 57 Magic (which we can also help you out with!). From there, you'll teleport to Castle Drakan using Drakan's Medallion, step through the portal into Vampyrium, and push north through the Darkwood Trees to reach the lair, all with no bank withdrawals inside the region.

Then comes the fight itself. The OSRS Maggot King cycles ranged, magic, and melee, spitting poison pools you have to pray against and move out of, screeching a triple-hit wave where you must switch your overhead prayers off, and spawning larvae that heal it on contact. It cannot be meleed until it drops to roughly 65 percent health, and its common loot bleeds supplies much like the Nightmare, so most of the value hides in the uniques and the pet. That turns a real KC grind into long dry streaks for a lot of players.
