Restored Coffer Keys are a seasonal currency you use to open Bountiful Coffers at the end of Bountiful Delves. These coffers contain high‑level gear and other valuable rewards. They are a valuable item to gear up fast,  especially early in the season.

If you don't have time to farm Delves and want to spend your time doing PvP, Raids, Mythic+, or any other activity you enjoy in Midnight, our Delves Boosting Services can help you save time and enjoy your rewards. Whether you want to get your Nullaeus rewards or unlock your weekly Great Vault slots, you can use the discount code BLOG15 for 15% off.

Farming Restored Coffer Keys

Restored Coffer Keys were slightly changed in Midnight. They are no longer dropped as a whole key, but rather as a shard. Each key still needs 100 Restored Coffer Key Shards similar to The War Within, but to convert them into keys, you can simply enter a Delve, and they will automatically convert. You can also talk to Naleidea Rivergleam to convert your shards.

The current weekly cap on Restored Coffer Keys is 6, meaning you won't be able to get more than 600 shards within a given reset. This might be subject to change well into Season 1.

1. Delver's Starter Kit

You can get two Restored Coffer Keys by purchasing the Delver's Starter Kit from Naleidea Rivergleam. This is limited to one per account, so make sure you purchase it on the character that you intend to use it for. Also, the 2 Coffer Keys seem to be unaffected by the weekly cap, so you basically get 2 extra keys.

2. Restored Coffer Key Sources

You can farm shards from multiple sources, such as:

  • Certain quests award 25-35 key shards
  • Rare mobs drop 50 coffer key shards
  • Prey Hunts award 75 coffer key shards
  • Weekly activities, special assignments, and weekly quests award 100 key shards
  • Certain World Quests award some coffer key shards as well

The best and most effective way seems to be farming rares, as they are easy, and you technically need to kill 12 rares in order to max out your weekly Restored Coffer Keys. Just flying around in any of the Midnight areas for a few minutes should max out your weekly Restored Coffer Key Shards.

Final Thoughts

Delves are one of the best ways to gear up early in the season, or gear up alts quickly. You can get 250 ilvl loot from Bountiful Delves at tier 8, which is the highest tier needed in order to get the best loot. Doing Delves also grants a hero track item from your weekly Great Vault, so they are not an activity to sleep on if you intend to maximize your progress.

Restored Coffer Key Shards are easy to come by in World of Warcraft Midnight; you don't need to put any extra effort to go out of your way to farm them. Just doing your weekly activities on your character will most probably net you the 6 weekly keys you need.
