Restored Coffer Keys are the item required to open the chests at the end of each Boutiful Delve that are spread across Khaz Algar. They are a valuable item to gear fast, and especially early in the season, they can make you jump in Item Level in no time. They can also be used to quickly gear alt, so knowing the best methods to get them is a valuable thing, so you can min-max them and have a good method to gear fast.
The best way to get them is by farming them each week, even though there is a cap on how much you can get from this specific method, it’s still the best one and the most efficient and time-saving method! Here are all the sources from which you can get the drop of the keys:
Worldsoul Quests - The weekly activity where you can pick which exact activities you will complete, and then obtain the Pinnacle Cache from which you can get a key
Theater Troupe - The Isle of Dorn’s zone World Event, you will need to pick up a quest near it and complete the set objective. After that, you will be granted another key
Awakening the Machine - Another zone event, this time in the Ringing Deeps, completing it will give you another chest, and opening this one will also grant you one
The Spreading Light - Hallowfall’s World Event requires you to light 4 braziers. After that, you will be granted Radiant Cache that contains the Restored Coffer Key
Special Assignments - The special World Quests that unlock only after completing 3 World Quests in the given zone grant you a chest that contains a Restored Coffer Key
The Severed Threads Pact - Picking which ally you will do the reputation for the week and completing the set objective will give you another cache that will carry the key
Urge to Surge - The Undermine’s special zone event can grant you the chest containing our favorite delving item, so we can get more nice and shiny loot
Another cool method that you can obtain these keys from, technically, is farmable infinitely, is the Radiant Echoes. Here you will collect Coffer Key Shards. Obtaining 100 of these shards will let you craft 1 Key that you can then use in the Delves. Radiant Echoes can drop from completing Delves. To use these Radiant Echos, you need a Worldsoul Memory located each day in a different zone, so just check a map and head to where the Worldsoul Memory is. After that, you can put 1 or 5 or 5+5 Radiant Echoes. Each Radiant Echo planted will give you more rewards, so if you put 5, you will get exactly five times more rewards, and so on.
One-Time Sources
There are even sources that you can obtain Restored Coffer Keys once. There are some vendors or Renown that grant you a one-time purchase of the key. There are also sources you can get some discounts and new ways to obtain them after reaching certain milestones on the Delves progress bar, so that can be another interesting way to get some extra keys to use on your journey!
- Sir Finley Mrrgglton - This vendor sells a key; you can buy it from him (progressing the said experience bar will grant you an extra discount). You can purchase one key this way
- Renown rewards - Another way to obtain one one-time source of the keys is through the reputation renown system (Cartels of Undermine Renown 9, The Assembly of the Deeps Renown 13, The Severed Threads Renown 13, Hallowfall Arathi Renown 14, The Council of Dornogal Renown 17)
Delves are the best early way to gear up, or if you’re looking to get an alt, this is the fastest way to get your gear ready to start Mythic+ or Raid journey as quickly as possible. Tier 8 delves grant you pretty solid 639 Ilvl gear, and there is a chance to get a Delver’s Bounty, which grants you a Hero Track piece after completing your next Delve.
