    About our WoW Character Gearing Boost

    Alongside all the new zones, raids, dungeons and mechanics every new expansion brings, so too does it bring changes to players' Item Level, either in the form of a crunch, cap increase or rework. For the War Within, only the cap has been raised.

    Although there aren't any massive changes to how you'd go about getting gear in WoW, this still means that players will have to go through the process of getting their characters freshly geared. As the weeks go by and more content gets released, the importance of having good gear will increase, as having the proper equipment will be absolutely necessary to get into higher M+ Keys, LFG groups for a Heroic or Mythic Raid, or any kind of skilled group or top rated, competitive guild.

    Due to Dragonflight's sweeping changes to gearing and the addition of a new Track system that limits each gear pieces' Item Level and how much it can be upgraded, as well as a new upgrade system to go along with it, getting ready for raiding in the War Within might be a bit different than in past expansions. Here's a brief rundown of each Gear Track and which activity you can get that type of gear from:

    • Explorer (558 - 580) - World Quests; Delve Tiers 1-2; Normal Dungeons
    • Adventurer (571 - 593) - World Quests; Weekly World Events; Delve Tiers 3-4; Heroic Difficulty Dungeons
    • Veteran (584 - 610) - Renown Rewards; Weekly World Events; Delve Tiers 5-6; Delve Tiers 1-3 Great Vault reward; Heroic Difficulty Dungeons Great Vault reward; Mythic Difficulty Dungeons; LFR Difficulty Raid Bosses
    • Champion (597 - 619) - World Bosses; Delve Tiers 7-11; Delve Tiers 4-6 Great Vault reward; Mythic Difficulty Dungeons Great Vault reward; Mythic+ Keystone 2-6 Dungeons; Normal Difficulty Raid Bosses
    • Hero (610 - 626) - Delves Tiers 7-11 Great Vault; Mythic+ 7-10 Dungeons; Mythic+ 3-9 Dungeons Great Vault reward; Heroic Difficulty Raid Bosses
