What is Battle for Azeroth Timewalking in World of Warcraft?

Battle for Azeroth Timewalking is a recurring weekly event that returns players to the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. Recently added to the Timewalking rotation, this event scales characters and gear down to brave a selection of iconic BfA dungeons, offering a chance to earn Timewarped Badges and unique, BfA-themed rewards.

When does Battle for Azeroth Timewalking happen?

Battle for Azeroth Timewalking occurs periodically as part of the overall Timewalking event rotation. It was recently added to the schedule and, like other Timewalking events, is active for one week at a time when it is scheduled. You can check your in-game calendar to see when the next BfA Timewalking week will be.

What kind of activities are involved in Battle for Azeroth Timewalking?

During a BfA Timewalking week, players can queue via the Dungeon Finder for the six featured dungeons: Atal'Dazar, Freehold, King's Rest, Shrine of the Storm, Temple of Sethraliss, and Waycrest Manor. Players complete these scaled-down instances to earn Timewarped Badges and scaled loot. The weekly quest for completing Timewalking dungeons is also available for bonus badges and gear.

What rewards can players get from Battle for Azeroth Timewalking?

Completing BfA Timewalking content rewards Timewarped Badges (standard amounts apply). These badges can be spent at the Timewalking vendor, Aridormi (the same vendor for Legion Timewalking), for a variety of unique BfA-themed items, including new mounts (like the Reins of the Moonlit Nightsaber and Reins of the Ivory Savagemane), pets (like Timely Buzzbee or Flotsam Harvester/Lil' Daz'ti), toys, gear ensembles, reputation tokens for BfA factions, and scaled gear. Scaled loot drops directly from dungeon bosses.

Participating in BfA Timewalking during the Turbulent Timeways event of Season 2 of The War Within expansion also contributes to the "Master of the Turbulent Timeways III" achievement, which rewards the Chrono Corsair mount.

Are there achievements specifically for Battle for Azeroth Timewalking?

Yes, participating in BfA Timewalking contributes to various achievements, such as completing the specific dungeons. Completing the weekly Timewalking quest also grants achievement progress. Completing BfA Timewalking dungeons is also a requirement for the "Master of the Turbulent Timeways III" meta-achievement. Collecting items from the vendor contributes to your general account-wide collection achievements.
