World of Warcraft: Midnight expands the usual progression systems with several zone-based Renown factions tied to the new areas of Quel’Thalas. As you quest, complete events, clear World Quests, and take part in weekly activities, you build reputation with these groups and unlock rewards that range from gear and profession bonuses to cosmetics, pets, toys, and mounts.
In Midnight, Renown is Warband-wide, which makes it much easier to progress across your characters. Each Renown level requires 2,500 reputation, and the current cap for the major factions is Renown 20. Because of that, choosing where to focus your weekly effort matters, especially if you want early, useful rewards rather than just cosmetics. If you want to see the other Renown Guides, they are here: Amani Tribe Renown Guide, Hara'ti Renown Guide, Silvermoon Court Renown Guide, and Slayer's Duellum Reputation Guide.
The Singularity is the Renown faction tied to Voidstorm, and it is one of the more rewarding factions to work on early. Its track includes useful zone progression, profession unlocks, cosmetic rewards, mounts, and even a Champion 1/6 item level 246 trinket at Renown 7, earned through a quest connected to the Stormarion Assault event.
Sadly, not every player has the time to keep up with the full Renown grind every week. If you would rather skip the grind and reach your rewards faster, our WoW Renown Boost is a reliable way to speed things up. And you can use BLOG15 on our website to get a discount on any order.
What is the Singularity?
The Singularity is one of Midnight’s four major Renown factions. It is based in Voidstorm and is tied to Magister Umbric, the Ren’dorei, and the fight against Xal’atath in that zone. In gameplay terms, it is the Renown track for Voidstorm questing, events, rares, and zone systems.
Its quartermaster is Void Researcher Anomander, found in the eastern part of Howling Ridge in Voidstorm. Most of your cosmetic rewards, gear unlocks, and later milestone purchases come from this vendor.
Best ways to farm Singularity Renown
The best way to farm Singularity Renown is to combine one-time Voidstorm progress with the repeatable weekly sources. Your first big push should come from the Voidstorm main campaign, side quests, lore items, Highest Peaks telescopes, and big treasures, since these are strong one-time sources and help you reach the early Renown breakpoints quickly.
After that, your main repeatable progress comes from Voidstorm World Quests and Special Assignments, Stormarion Assault and its weekly quest, rare mobs in Voidstorm once per week per rare, Bountiful Delve caches, and the weekly dungeon Renown quest in Silvermoon, where you can choose Singularity as your reward faction. Using Contract: The Singularity also adds extra value while doing World Quests across Midnight zones.
There are no daily quests specifically for Singularity, so most of your steady grind is built around World Quests, weekly objectives, and weekly rare clears. That means the best farming approach is not endless grinding in one spot. It is better to do all the high-value weekly and once-per-week activities, then clean up the remaining World Quests and zone collectibles.
During the World Quests Bonus Event, the weekly quest The World Awaits gives 2,500 reputation, which is a full Renown level, with a faction of your choice after 10 World Quests in Quel’Thalas. On those weeks, Singularity becomes much easier to push.
Weekly Singularity Renown Plan
Use this plan each reset if you want steady progress:
- Keep The Singularity active before doing World Quests. It adds extra reputation from World Quests across Quel’Thalas for your whole Warband.
- Complete Stormarion Assault and the weekly quest Stand Your Ground in Voidstorm. This is one of the biggest Singularity-specific weekly sources.
- Do at least 3 Voidstorm World Quests so you can finish Research Console: Exploring the Void and earn your weekly Uncontaminated Void Sample. Then clear the rest of the Voidstorm World Quests and Special Assignments.
- Kill Voidstorm rares you have not done that week yet. These are limited per rare, so they are better treated as weekly checkmarks than as open-ended farming.
- Do Halduron Brightwing’s weekly dungeon quest in Silvermoon and pick Singularity as your faction reward if this is your current focus. Even Follower Dungeons count for completion.
- Open Bountiful Delve caches when available, since they are another Renown source for Midnight factions, including Singularity.
- If you are close to Renown 7, finish missing one-time sources like lore items, peaks, and treasures to get the trinket sooner.
- During a World Quests Bonus Event, complete The World Awaits and choose Singularity for the full extra Renown level.
The Research Console
The most unique Singularity feature is the Research Console in Voidstorm. You unlock it at Renown 2 after the quest Researching the Storm. After that, you can earn one Uncontaminated Void Sample each week from Research Console: Exploring the Void, which asks you to complete 3 Voidstorm World Quests.
The Research Console has 7 perks. These include the Voidlust buff, which boosts Critical Strike, Leech, and movement speed in Voidstorm, plus zone defense and camp-style benefits that make farming in the zone easier. Completing the whole console progression grants the achievement Staring Into The Void, which rewards the Lab-Grown Stormray mount.
The other thing that makes Singularity stand out is Stormarion Assault, a fast tower-defense style world event that runs about every 30 minutes. Several Renown milestones also improve your relationship with this event by increasing your Stormarion Core economy or unlocking extra support during the assault.
The Singularity Milestone unlocks
Here are the most important Singularity milestones to care about:
| Renown Level | Unlocks |
| Renown 2 | Unlocks the Research Console and lets you buy early item level 180 gloves. |
| Renown 5 | Unlocks profession recipes. |
| Renown 7 | Unlocks the quest for Crucible of Erratic Energies, a Champion 1/6 item level 246 trinket tied to Stormarion Assault. |
| Renown 9 | Unlocks Profession Knowledge books for Alchemy, Blacksmithing, and Engineering, and lets Voidstorm treasures start giving some Stormarion Cores. |
| Renown 10 | Unlocks tabards and gives Finery Funds for cosmetic purchases in Silvermoon City. |
| Renown 14 | Unlocks the Blitzcreek battle pet. |
| Renown 16 | Unlocks the Enigmatic Fountain toy. |
| Renown 17 | Unlocks the Ravenous Shredclaw ground mount. |
| Renown 19 | Unlocks the Voidbound Stormray flying mount. |
| Renown 20 | Unlocks the title “The Singular” and gives credit toward the Midnight Renown meta-achievement through The Singularity Champion. |
Conclusion
If you want a clean and efficient Singularity grind, focus on Voidstorm one-time progress first, then build your week around Stormarion Assault, Voidstorm World Quests, the Research Console weekly, rares, the Silvermoon dungeon weekly, and Bountiful Delves. That route gives you the smoothest climb and gets you to the Renown 7 trinket much faster than just casually doing random zone content.
As part of a full Midnight Renown series, Singularity is one of the best factions to push early if you want a mix of player power, zone utility, profession value, and long-term cosmetic rewards. After Renown 20, you can still keep earning reputation for Paragon Bags, so the track does not completely stop being useful once you cap it.
