The Turbo Boost Event in World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 3 launched on October 22nd, 2025, bringing one of the most rewarding gearing cycles the game has ever seen. It reintroduces the Puzzling Cartel Chips (Dinars) system, allowing players to buy their Best-in-Slot (BiS) raid or dungeon items directly from vendors in Dornogal. With uncapped Ethereal Crests, shared Valorstones, and improved upgrade tracks for both Heroic and Mythic gear, this event makes high-end gearing accessible across your entire Warband.
The event also makes it easier to upgrade gear, removes limits on Crests, and allows you to share Valorstones between your characters. Not only that, but two weeks ago we also got a slight item level boost since now Myth track gears can be upgraded to 8, up from 6.
So Turbo Boost Event means faster progress, smarter gearing, and fewer barriers between you and your BiS setup.

The Turbo Boost event rewards consistency, but that’s also what makes it hard to maximize. If you miss your weekly 4 boss kills or M+ completions, that’s lost Chips and slower upgrades. And since vendors require specific achievements (like clearing +12 dungeons or Mythic bosses), not everyone can unlock their BiS gear in time.

The Turbo Boost Event is a special gearing phase introduced in The War Within Season 3. It increases drop rates, removes Crest caps, and reintroduces Puzzling Cartel Chips (Dinars) - a currency that lets players buy specific raid and dungeon gear directly from vendors in Dornogal.
Most players use Cartel Chips to target key Best-in-Slot (BiS) pieces from Manaforge Omega or powerful trinkets from Season 3 dungeons. Since the system is limited, it’s best to plan your purchases carefully, many choose weapons or trinkets with the strongest secondary stats.
They are special coins, similar to Dinars in Shadowlands, that you can earn each week during the Turbo Boost event in The War Within's patch 11.2.5. You can use them to buy powerful raid or dungeon gear from a vendor in Dornogal.
You can earn up to 9 Chips per character during the event. You get 3 Chips the first time you finish a quest, and 1 more Chip each week after that.
Each item costs 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips. You can buy up to 3 items total per character during the event.
Raid:
If you want to buy Hero track gear, you must have killed the respective boss on any difficulty.
If you want Myth track gear, you must have killed the respective boss on Mythic difficulty.
Mythic+:
This system is great if you're trying to get specific gear, like a weapon or trinket, without relying on random drops. Basically, a bad luck protection.
Supposedly, the event will end with the release of the Midnight expansion. Blizzard hasn’t given an exact date yet, so it’s a good idea to take advantage of it now.
