Introduction

As the new event is finally here and we can finally have higher drop chances with Collector’s Bounty, even though that comes with the Greedy Goblin Emissary event, mounts are now easier to obtain than ever before. Up to 10 times higher drop chances on all things Pre-Dragonflight, you can finally obtain those mounts that bothered you for years and years!

Best Mounts to get during the Greedy Goblin Event

So, what mounts are best to focus on at this brand-new event? Mostly, it is the raid mounts that will have boosted drop chances, meaning that you can try and get as many locks down on your alts each week. Of course, it also depends on your personal preferences, and you can always focus on getting some of the mounts that you have always wanted to get, but we’re going to go through some of the hardest and rarest to get, which usually can take hundreds of attempts.

  • Invincible: There is not much to say, one of the OGs and communities' most wanted and beloved mounts. Drops from Icecrown Citadel, it is rumoured to have a <1 % drop chance, so this bump in drop chance is your best bet to get it
  • Shackled Ur’zul: This mount came in the Legion with the raid Argus, and drops from the last boss with the same name. Also, a pretty low drop chance, and till recently it had a pretty unique look that was one of the most horror-esque mounts in the game. It is also a good way to farm multiple things from this boss, since transmogs are also boosted, and this applies to both Scythes that drop from Argus.
  • Glacial Tidestorm: Jaina’s Proudmoore is a boss that is located within Battle for Dazar’Alor, and many people want her fancy elemental. With its low drop chance, it’s one of the best mounts to try and get knocked out of the way during the event, mostly because there is also a boss before her that can drop another different mount. High Tinker Mekkatorque can drop you the magnificent G.M.O.D! So getting two mounts in one raid is a huge opportunity to make your collection even shinier.
  • Reins of the Blazing Drake/Life-binder’s Handmaiden: Mount that drops from Deathwing in the Dragon Soul. There are two versions, one for the Heroic only, which is the Life-binder’s Handmaiden. Reins of the Blazing Drake can drop on both difficulties, and with this drop chance increase, they are a really good way to get them down fast. You can also get the drop from Ultraxion, specifically Experiment 12-B, so there is a chance to get 3 mounts during this boosted event for a higher mount drop chance.
  • Smoldering Egg of Millagazor: Firelands mount that drops from Ragnaros, this one is a good option to farm, as there is another boss in the raid, Alysrazor, that drops Flametalon of Alysrazor. You can also do this raid on both normal and heroic during the same reset, so that’s a big bonus, and with, higher drop chance, you have a good chance to obtain both of them during the event.

Final Thoughts

This concludes the list of some of the most interesting and most efficient raids to farm during this boosted event. With the Collector’s Bounty Event, you can finally get your dream mounts, so even if you don’t like the ones we think are the best, don’t worry, the taste differs, so getting what you find pretty and cool is your go-to! Remember, during this event, there is also a boosted transmog drop chance, with double the amount of transmog items that can drop on top of the great and fascinating mounts! This also applies to a lot of legendary and special items, so you can finally get the Warglaives of Azzinoth or get Thunderfury in case you never managed to obtain them! This special event, alongside the Greedy Emissary Goblin Event, is the last update we’re getting before we hit Season 3 TWW and reach Ghosts of K’aresh in patch 11.2!
