In World of Warcraft, "Ahead of the Curve" (AOTC) mounts are special rewards earned by defeating the final raid boss of a major patch on Heroic difficulty before the next raid is released. These mounts are a symbol of achievement for raiders, showcasing their success in the current season.
Each AOTC season introduces a new and unique mount with a design that can no longer be obtained once the next raid tier is introduced. This limited availability makes them highly desired.
What is the Royal Voidwing Mount?
The Royal Voidwing is the exclusive AOTC mount for The War Within Season 3, awarded for defeating Dimensius the All-Devouring in the Manaforge Omega raid on Heroic or higher difficulty. It is a void-infused drake with a sleek armored silhouette and glowing cosmic wings.

How to Get Royal Voidwing in Season 3
To earn the Royal Voidwing, you must complete the Ahead of the Curve: Dimensius the All-Devouring achievement during The War Within Season 3. This means:
- Defeating Dimensius, the final boss of Manaforge Omega, on Heroic or Mythic difficulty.
- Doing so before the next raid tier goes live.
- Looting the Mark of the Twilight Oath, which begins a special quest.
After you have defeated Dimensius and obtained the achievement, you are halfway through the process, however, there is still one more step remaining in order to acquire your mount.
A Twilight Oath’s End Quest
After looting the Mark of the Twilight Oath from Heroic (or Mythic) Dimensius, you’ll receive a quest called "A Twilight Oath’s End."
- Quest Giver: Ve’nari
- Location: The Oasis on K’aresh
- Objective: Turn in the Mark of the Twilight Oath
Reward:
- Reins of the Royal Voidwing (mount)
- Gold
There are no more actions required. Once submitted, the mount belongs to you forever.
As with all AOTC mounts, Royal Voidwing will be removed the moment Season 4 begins. The exact date hasn’t been announced.
