Introduction
Legion Remix was slightly teased, even though it wasn’t officially confirmed that it’ll be exactly Legion Remix, but we know that’s the expansion we’re going to “revisit” this year. There were a few leaks that we’ve seen that confirm that something is happening behind the scenes, so let’s go through all the things we know so far related to this. Pandaria Remix was quite positively received, and going back to Legendary Broken Shores, visiting Suramar and experiencing our most hated baddie (Gul’Dan) in Nighthold once again, does sound pretty fun!
What we know so far regarding Legion Remix
Our favorite foes, Burning Legion, are ready to give another fight, though it’s not canonically back, but we’re still going to re-experience the expansion Legion, though differently. If we go by how MoP Remix went, we’re probably going to play this through our Retail version of the game, but we’re going to get scaled properly, and the mobs in the Broken Isles will be formidable opponents once again. We might have some different systems this time around, and we have to wait and see how it’ll going to be implemented.
There is an interesting way they could bring back Artifact weapons, everyone loves wielding Ashbringer as a Paladin, so it might be one of the directions they will take… We had a cloak in MoP Remix, and knowing that the Legendary Item in Mists of Pandaria was indeed a cloak, we might get some connections to the most iconic items we had in Legion, our Artifact Weapons. It would be a very unique new experience that gets our old weapons back, as there was a small easter egg located in the Operation: Floodgate, our Artifacts were in a trash can, which is quite funny. Some players speculated this is a teaser for what might come in Legion Remix, or however, they’re going to call the Legion event this time. They mentioned as well, for some future modes like Plunderstorm and Remix, they want to try and make it far more unique and work on making a new and unforgettable experience. It indeed was confirmed by Blizzard that they will try to bring a different approach to Legion and let us experience it once again in a new fashion.
What can we expect in Legion Remix?
We probably expect some rewards, as it is a never-ending journey to catch them all, well, not just pets, but mounts and transmogs as well. We can take it for granted that these kinds of rewards will be mandatory in this new game mode, as that’s the pattern Blizzard has been following with these kinds of events. There should probably be an incredible amount of cosmetics that we’ll have to grind for days, as it has to keep us engaged till the next big thing that will come. Here are some expectations that we can bring to the table with this magnificent game mode:
- Faster Leveling - As it’s not going to last for a whole year like an expansion, it’s going to be far shorter, and there are going to be plenty of things to do; it is safe to assume that we’ll be getting accelerated leveling. This will make getting alts and new characters far more efficient, it is also a good way to experience some of the specs and classes you never even thought of playing as it’ll be a solid experience to maybe fall in love with a new character!
- Raids and Dungeons - Since it’ll be Legion, we can hope for a return of some of our favorite Raids and Dungeons located in Broken Isles and Argus. We can reexperience Antorus, the Burning Throne, and memorable Nighthold in a completely new fashion.
- Unique Rewards - This is one of the most exciting things for any World of Warcraft players, who don’t like getting some shiny new loot? We can probably expect many new cosmetic rewards. It will probably include some of the recolors, but potentially some new models from mounts to transmog. We can also hope to get some of the Rare mounts/pets that were and are still pretty hard to get due to RNG. Pandaria Remix had all the rare mounts from Raids and World Bosses, so it’s something that might make a return in this new and intriguing version of Legion. Some of these things also might get hit by FOMO, meaning they will only be available during this event, so trying to get all the things you want during this event is very important!
Conclusion
So, as the date comes close, we will probably start to get a bit more information regarding the project Blizzard has been teasing. It’s a bit mysterious, what can we expect? Is the question that we pose. Even though we had something fairly similar, they said they wanted to change pace a bit, bringing already familiar experience in a complete rehaul and new fashion. We can only hope that it will indeed be something great
