Introduction

Legion Remix was teased earlier and has now been officially confirmed. We know Legion will be the expansion we will "revisit" this year. With new systems and changes that differ slightly from Pandaria Remix, due to the vast content Legion offers, we can expect some fresh twists. Pandaria Remix was well received, and going back to the legendary Broken Shore, visiting Suramar, and facing our most hated villain, Gul'dan, in Nighthold once again sounds pretty fun.

What We Know So Far About Legion Remix

Our old enemies, the Burning Legion, are ready to challenge us again. While this is not a canonical return, we will experience the Legion expansion in a new way. If it follows the same path as the MoP Remix, we will likely play through our Retail version of the game, but with proper scaling. The mobs in the Broken Isles will be tough opponents once again. There may also be some new systems, but we will have to wait and see how they are implemented.

So far, we know that Mythic+ will return in a brand-new form. If you are wondering whether you will be able to tackle Maw of Souls +100, the answer is probably yes. With infinite scaling, we might experience the original Mythic+ dungeons with difficulty levels we have never seen before. This opens the door to infinite scaling, not just for our characters but also for the content itself. It is a fun way to revisit Legion with a fresh feel. In addition, they are adding a challenging World Tier outdoor activity. This gives players who are not interested in raiding or Mythic+ a chance to test their new gear and powers. So far, this is all we know about what is coming soon with Legion Remix.

There is also an interesting possibility that Artifact weapons could make a return. Everyone loves wielding the Ashbringer as a Paladin, so this might be the direction they take. In the MoP Remix, we had a cloak, which made sense because the legendary item in Mists of Pandaria was a cloak. So, we might see a connection to Legion’s iconic items, our Artifact Weapons. It would be a unique experience to bring back these old weapons. A small easter egg in Operation: Floodgate showed our Artifacts tossed in a trash can, which was quite funny. Some players believe this could be a hint for what is coming in Legion Remix, or whatever name Blizzard chooses for the event. Blizzard has also mentioned that for future modes like Plunderstorm and Remix, they want to make them more unique and unforgettable. They have confirmed that Legion will be approached differently this time, giving us a new way to experience it.

What to Expect in Legion Remix

We can expect plenty of rewards. It is always a never-ending journey to collect them all, not just pets but mounts and transmogs too. We can safely assume these types of rewards will be part of this new game mode, as that has been Blizzard’s pattern with such events. There will likely be many cosmetics to grind for, keeping us engaged until the next big update. Here are some things we can expect from this exciting mode:

  • Faster Leveling: Since the event will not last as long as a full expansion, we can assume leveling will be faster. This makes leveling alts and new characters much more efficient, just like Mists of Pandaria: Remix. It is also a great chance to try out specs and classes you may have never played before. You might even find a new favorite character this way.

  • Raids and Dungeons: Since this is based on Legion, we can look forward to the return of some of our favorite raids and dungeons in the Broken Isles and Argus. We will get to re-experience Antorus, the Burning Throne, and the memorable Nighthold in a completely new way.

  • Unique Rewards: This is always one of the most exciting parts for World of Warcraft players. Who does not love shiny new loot? We can expect plenty of new cosmetic rewards. These will probably include recolors but could also feature new models for mounts and transmogs. There is also hope that some rare mounts and pets, which have been hard to get due to RNG, will make a return. Pandaria Remix included rare mounts from raids and world bosses, so we will likely see the same here. However, some rewards might only be available during this event, so it is important to get them before they are gone.

Conclusion

As the release date approaches, we will likely get more details about the project Blizzard has been teasing. There is still some mystery around it. What can we expect? That is the question on everyone’s mind. Even though we had a similar event before, Blizzard has said they want to change things up by offering a familiar experience with a fresh twist. We can only hope it turns out to be something truly great.
