What is K'aresh?
K'aresh is the brand new zone for Patch 11.2. It is not a traditional landmass but a collection of shattered islands floating in the void. Players will use Skyriding to navigate between these large, dramatic, void-scarred landscapes. The central player hub will be an expanded and redesigned version of Tazavesh, the Veiled Market, making the Broker city a fully explorable open-world area.
What is the main story of Patch 11.2: Ghosts of Karesh?
The main storyline takes us to K'aresh, the shattered homeworld of the Ethereals, which was destroyed long ago by the Void Lord Dimensius. We learn that a radical Ethereal faction, the Shadowguard, is using a massive structure called Manaforge Omega to resurrect Dimensius, with the help of their former Nexus-King Salhadaar, that was once a foe to Dimensius in the thousands year war during the Burning Crusade era. This poses a threat to all of Azeroth.
The most shocking twist is that Xal'atath, the Harbinger of the Void, becomes our temporary and untrustworthy ally. The reason for this unlikely truce is pure self-interest. Xal'atath is no friend to Dimensius; in fact, ancient lore reveals she betrayed him in the distant past, which contributed to K'aresh's original destruction. The Shadowguard who are resurrecting Dimensius are the same faction that stole the powerful Dark Heart artifact from Xal'atath.
However, it is widely assumed by all involved that she will inevitably betray everyone the moment Dimensius is defeated, likely using the opportunity to absorb his power for herself and setting the stage for the next expansion, Midnight.
How do I get the Reshii Wraps and how do they work?
The Reshii Wraps are a new, upgradable artifact cloak that all players will receive as part of the main campaign in K'aresh. This cloak is central to the patch's gameplay and allows you to use a new ability called "Phase Dive". This power temporarily shifts you into an ethereal energy form, revealing a hidden layer of reality across K'aresh. The cloak has its own talent tree, can be customized with special "fibers" to add secondary stats, allowing you to tailor it to your needs, and is also required to avoid some mechanics during the Manaforge Omega raid.

What about the new dungeon - Eco-Dome Al'dani?

In a unique twist, the story of this dungeon canonically occurs after the events of the Manaforge Omega raid, showing players the consequences of the raid's conclusion. It will be available in Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties upon the patch's launch.
What is the Ecological Succession system?
This is a new, engaging open-world activity where players partner with the Shadowlands Broker, Ve'nari. Your goal is to help her restore life to the desolate world of K'aresh. You will travel to older zones in Azeroth to collect various species of plants and animals and reintroduce them into Ve'nari's eco-domes. It functions as a source of weekly and daily quests where you manage the ecosystem's needs and watch the world evolve based on your actions.
Are there new Tier Sets and class changes?
Yes. Patch 11.2 will introduce new class Tier Sets for Season 3.
