About our WoW Trader’s Tender Farm

After almost 20 years’ worth of player requests, in late 2022, Blizzard finally decided to add an interesting way to get some very cool cosmetics - a unique shop that rotates monthly and features a wide arrangement of both fresh new cosmetics, and reskins of older, fan-favorite weapons - the Trading Post.

Alongside a new way to get your hands on some long unavailable old mounts, reskins of classic cosmetics and a variety of new, 3D transmogs, the Trading Post also frequently features new Pets, Toys, weapons and reskins of the same. As WoW’s 20th anniversary has come and gone, many of the older armor sets in the game are continuing to look progressively more dated as better ones are added. The Trading Post addresses this issue by releasing both reworked versions of classic sets, or brand new, high-res, 3D items for every single slot.

Best of all, the Trading Post can be bought from without having to pay any real-world money, but by farming Trader’s Tender. Tender can be acquired by completing a monthly battle pass style reward track, which awards players with a unique item and 1000 Trader’s Tender when fully completed. There’s a wide variety of monthly tasks you can complete to progress your reward track, including:

Completing World Quests
Completing regular Quests, including Dailies & Weeklies
Completing Mythic+ Dungeons, Raids, Delves and Battlegrounds
Playing Rated Arena matches
Doing Seasonal or Holiday content
Interacting with specific NPCs and other players in unique ways (like doing /chicken at an Orgrimmar Grunt, for instance)
Doing specific Quests that you haven’t completed yet

And if there’s a seasonal event active, such as the Midsummer Fire Festival, Hallow’s End or the Feast of Winter’s Veil, then you’re in luck - these Events almost always have a set of associated tasks which grant significant progress to your Trader’s Tender reward track. Even the simplest of tasks, like finding Metzen or putting out some fires, can net you hundreds of points, making the months when such events are active the easiest to grind through.

Plus, there have been some signs that Blizzard might add recolors of exclusive Store & Event sets, mounts and more to the Trading Post. Some Store Mounts have already debuted there, with the latest addition being a gold and green recolor of the unique Plunderstorm set. Since Plunderstorm ended and it's related transmog sets became unavailable, many players have been wanting to get their hands on the unique Plunderlord armor set & weapons, and Blizzard has already shown their good grace by giving us the chance to get this brand new golden recolor of every piece of armor & all the weapons released during the event.

Why should I buy a Trader’s Tender Boost?

Because, fully filling out your Trader’s Tender reward track can get pretty grindy, especially if you’re not willing to sink a lot of time into doing World Quests, Battlegrounds and Mythics, which give the most points. And, since the Trading Post is still a relatively new idea, a lot of players still haven’t gotten into the habit of clearing out their monthly reward track. Beyond that, if you’re really dedicated to playing specific bits of content that aren’t the best for completing the track, or if you need a lot of them to complete it, it can take that much more time to do.

Spamming Mythic+ is all well and good, as is doing Raids, Battlegrounds, Arenas or your favorite bit of content, but it’ll take you a very long time to take care of a full Trader’s Tender track. This is because each repeatable task becomes more difficult with each repeat.

For instance, if you do a ‘Do 10 World Quests’ repeatable task, it will become more difficult upon completion, requiring an increasing amount of quests per completion, from 15, to 20 and more. The same principle applies for Mythic+, Raid or PvP related tasks. Others, such as completing a specific world activity, such as killing the weekly World Boss, or many Holiday Quests, are not repeatable.

All in all, completing your Trader’s Tender monthly reward track can be very, very difficult to do if you’re not willing to invest a ton of time into doing it's specific tasks.
