Introduction
Healers are always the key component to any group, as they can keep the group healthy, and you don’t have to worry about your HP as much in any encounter. Maximizing the healing output and other sustain abilities, and having good cleanses and cures for any other form of debuff, curse, and similar effects, is another huge factor for both a good and a bad healer. In this tier list, we will go through all the best healers and put them in each respective tier, ranking them according to how they fare in the newest season of The War Within expansion.
Tier List
Ranking from the first to the last in each respective tier matters when deciding which healer class/spec combo in the same tier is better than the other.
S-Tier
This is the strongest tier; classes and specs here simply tend to perform the best and are undisputed in any Mythic+ dungeon. They can perform to the maximum effect and have your group not struggle with a single pack or a boss. They can output the highest HP/S while also providing solid utility and other types of cleanses and cures for any problem that the dungeon layout and ads might bring towards you.
- Discipline Priest (Oracle)
- Restoration Shaman (Totemic)
A-Tier
This is another very strong tier, and classes and specs in this one are still pretty good in any high-end game content and will not struggle. They will probably have a bit issues in some very situational scenarios, but will mostly breeze through the content as good as the S-Tier classes. They have solid HP/S and provide good utility to help the group with all types of dungeons.
- Restoration Druid (Wildstalker)
- Holy Paladin (Herald of the Sun)
- Mistweaver Monk (Conduit of the Celestials)
- Mistweaver Monk (Master of Harmony)
- Restoration Druid (Keeper of the Grove)
- Discipline Priest (Voidweaver)
- Holy Priest (Oracle/Archon)
B-Tier
This is still an okay tier; these specs can still relatively clear anything up to +15 if played correctly, but can struggle a bit later on the higher keys. They can be viable in some situations more than others, but can struggle in some dungeons if it’s not catered or played perfectly, but overall, they’re still viable.
- Restoration Shaman (Farseer)
- Preservation Evoker (Chronowarden)
Final Thoughts
This season is very healer-friendly, all healers are pretty much viable, some more than the others, but mostly they can clear the majority of the content without any issues. Disciple Priest - Oracle and Restoration Shaman - Totemic perform overall best, will high HP/S that provides enough for the whole party with tank included (if required) in any given situation, good utility and most importantly PI from Priest and Heroism/Lust by Shaman, they’re simply two Apex spec/class combos. Other specs in A-Tier are also strong, so they can be relevant as much as Apex tier ones, but they will be slightly less. B-Tier ones are also relevant to some extent, but will fall short in the long run on the harder dungeons. They’re dropping enough healers, but in the case of the Farseer Shaman, it simply falls short in comparison to its Totemic counterpart. Evoker is the weakest overall healer due to generally weak season from Evoker after the nerf of Augmentation, it’s also a bit harder class and needs a lot of time to invest to play it perfectly, and simply the result is not as strong as many people would expect. Of course, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play it. Evoker can get the job done, so you don’t have to worry about that!
