About our Equilibrium Dungeon Contest Mode (48h) - Destiny 2 Renegades
Destiny 2’s next big dungeon race lands with Renegades, and Bungie isn’t holding back. The moment Equilibrium Dungeon opens its doors, Contest Mode flips on, everyone gets power-capped, and the entire community floods in at once. If you’ve played day-one endgame before, you already know what that means: tight DPS checks, unforgiving mechanics, and a 24-hour window where every mistake costs time you don’t really have.
Equilibrium works the same way as every tough day-one dungeon in Destiny. Contest Mode lasts for 48 hours and locks your Power, so you can’t overlevel or brute-force anything. You go in weaker than the enemies, and everything hits much harder than it will later in the season.
And with Destiny 2 Renegades introducing a brand-new theme, Guardians stepping into this activity on day one won’t just be clearing a dungeon. They’ll be walking into Bungie’s newest mechanical experiment under the harshest version of its tuning.
The usual day-one issues show up fast:
Combine that with the strict 48-hour window, and even strong players can get stuck on a single encounter far longer than expected.
Equilibrium arrives with its own set of high-value rewards that make the dungeon worth running even outside the Contest window. Bungie has already shown a few of them in previews, including a new Exotic tied to the activity, a sniper rifle featured in the trailer, and several Legendary drops. There’s also a full armor set coming with the dungeon.
On top of that, Guardians who clear the dungeon during the 24-hour Contest window will earn an exclusive emblem available only during this launch Mode.
With all that on the line, many players want the clear but don’t want to spend the entire launch day wiping, rebuilding fireteams, or trying to learn every mechanic from scratch under Contest pressure.
A new dungeon on day one is always chaotic: no guides, no stable routes, no optimized builds yet. Equilibrium Dungeon Contest Mode only amplifies that chaos.
But no worries - we’re here to help.
Many Guardians choose a structured, professional run instead of gambling their time on random groups.
A coordinated Equilibrium Dungeon Contest Mode boost lets you secure the rewards while avoiding the usual problems.
Most importantly, completing the dungeon during the Contest window earns the exclusive 24h emblem, a reward that disappears as soon as the mode ends. With a structured run, you secure it without losing an entire day to learning attempts or broken groups.
If you want the clear, the rewards, and the emblem without the usual day one problems, our team is ready - lock your Equilibrium Contest Mode boost and we’ll handle the rest. If you still have questions, our Customer Support Team is online 24/7 and can walk you through the service, help you pick the right option, or prepare everything before launch.
Contest Mode is a special launch difficulty Bungie activates for new endgame content. For the first hours after a dungeon or raid goes live, your Power is locked below the recommended level, so you can’t overlevel the encounters.
Everyone goes in under-powered, enemies hit harder, and mechanics punish mistakes much more. It’s the setting used for day-one races and is meant to keep the challenge fair for every fireteam.
It’s a 48-hour Equilibrium Dungeon Contest Mode in where your Power is capped and enemies hit harder than normal.
Bungie has previewed several items:
More rewards will be revealed after launch.
You just need to access the Equilibrium dungeon. Contest Mode caps your Power no matter how high it is.
A unique Equilibrium Contest emblem available only for completions during this 24-hour window.
Yes. A full Equilibrium Dungeon Contest Mode clear includes the final boss and the dungeon Exotic on your account.
