The Edge of Fate is Destiny 2’s next major expansion, launching July 15, 2025. This marks the beginning of a brand-new storyline called the Fate Saga, which takes players beyond the Solar System to a strange and uncharted world known as Kepler.
This expansion brings:

New subclasses and Light/Dark hybrid powers
Fresh loot to chase, including exotic weapons and armor
A new 6-player raid, launching shortly after release
It’s a major shift in the Destiny 2 universe. Bungie is calling it the next era of the game, and it shows.
We can expect a ton of content right from day one. Such as campaign Missions that continue the story after The Final Shape, a new raid set on Kepler, featuring time puzzles, gravity mechanics, and dark matter encounters, armor 3.0 updates that finally let you fully customize perks and visuals, Season 25 content and gear tied to the Kepler narrative, and new ritual weapons, Crucible changes, and reworked Gambit matchmaking.
As with any new Destiny 2 Expansion, to get the best loot and stay caught up, you’ll need to stay active… which leads us to the real struggle.
If you’ve played Destiny 2 for any amount of time, you already know that it can feel like a full-time job. And with The Edge of Fate adding more layers on top, you'll start encountering more toxic LFG groups that fall apart mid-raid or flame after one wipe, and realize that you don't have the time to do everything such as campaign, pinnacles, exotic quests, dungeons, raids, maybe some PvP and seasonal events. This will lead to burnout from chasing higher powerlevels just to qualify for endgame. Not everyone has 6+ hours a day to grind every piece of content, and that’s okay.
