What is the Desert Perpetual Raid in Destiny 2, and why should I buy a boost for it?

Desert Perpetual is Destiny 2’s latest raid, launching a few days into the Edge of Fate expansion on 19th July 2025. While Bungie has kept most details under wraps, early footage and leaks suggest the raid is set deep within the Pale Wastes, a mysterious and hostile region tied to the fallout of The Final Shape.

Although we’ve seen glimpses of new loot, including what appears to be a Solar or Prismatic Exotic, the number of encounters and bosses remains unknown. What is clear, however, is that Bungie has once again raised the bar in terms of complexity, team coordination, and mechanical difficulty.

And with the new seasonal Powerlevel squish, the first few weeks of Desert Perpetual are expected to be especially brutal, particularly for those running high-end content with LFG teams.

Luckily, you won’t need to worry about failed clears or frustrating mechanics when our team is here to handle everything for you!

What loot can I get from Desert Perpetual?

Here's a comprehensive look at what Desert Perpetual, the Edge of Fate raid, has in store for you:
Six new Legendary weapons:

  • Sunstroke Doctrine – Legendary Solar Scout Rifle
  • Glasshowl – Legendary Arc Machine Gun
  • Dune’s Echo – Legendary Strand Hand Cannon
  • Chams Divider – Legendary Void Fusion Rifle
  • Scour Ritual – Legendary Kinetic Shotgun
  • Oblivion’s Path – Legendary Stasis Grenade Launcher

You’ll also be able to earn the all-new Wastelander Armor Set, the Exotic Ghost Shell Ash Mirage, a sleek Exotic ship called Dustcurrent, and a rugged new Exotic Sparrow, Fractured Drive.
And of course, there's the raid-exclusive Exotic weapon, rumored to be a Solar primary with unique Prismatic synergy, though full details remain under wraps.
Lastly, you’ll be able to unlock the brand-new Desert Perpetual Seal and all associated Triumphs, completing your endgame collection in style.

Is Desert Perpetual harder than Salvation’s Edge?

Yes! Early feedback suggests Desert Perpetual includes more complex mechanics and tighter DPS checks, making it one of Destiny 2’s most difficult raids to date.
