Vesper's Host is the newest dungeon introduced in Destiny 2 with Episode Revenant. It will be the very first dungeon in Destiny 2 to get a Contest Mode, for 48 hours. Guardians who are brave enough to complete the dungeon in the first 24 hours, will get a prestigious dungeon report tag. For completing the dungeon within 48 hours, you will be awarded with a unique Emblem, as well as the dungeon Exotic weapon, Icebreaker as a guaranteed drop. 

Contest mode content in Destiny 2 is one of the hardest end-game activities to complete, where players are tasked with defeating the raids, or in this case, the dungeon, within the first 2 days of its release, being underpowered. 

Not a lot of Destiny 2 players have the opportunity to partake in contest mode services. A lot of people don't have reliable fireteams or teammates to play with. Relying on LFG is not a good idea since you need a strong team cohension, and the ability to communicate on the mechanics needed. That's why some players might get discouraged from even trying out contest mode, and potentially missing out on great rewards, and end-game content. 

Master Vesper's Host would be hard initially as well, and you'd still need a good fireteam to be able to clear it efficiently, and in a timely manner.
