ABOUT THE DESTINY 2 PANTHEON RAID - DESTINY 2'S NEW BOSS RUSH MODE

Into the Light, Destiny 2's latest and most unexpectedly large scale off-season content drop, is a gift that keeps on giving, granting Guardians not only a slew of new weapons, armor and Exotics to collect, but two entirely new gamemodes: first came Onslaught, a horde battling mode, and soon, come its release on April 30th, a brand new Boss Rush mode - Pantheon.

Though information about it is still scarce, leaks and dataminers suggest that Pantheon will follow a schedule where a lineup of four bosses will be available to battle each week, except for the final week, where two are introduced. What's more, every week will see a decrease in Guardians' effective Power cap, meaning that Pantheon will become more and more difficult as time goes on. On week one, Guardians will be around 5 power below, a gap which will steadily increase with every new release, until it is as big as 20 Power below - equivalent to contest mode.

PANTHEON GAMEPLAY AND REWARDS:

Pantheon promises players a chance to battle some of Destiny's toughest and most notorious bosses in an action packed, back-to-back boss rush mode, where almost every single raid boss from throughout Destiny 2's storied past will be making their triumphant return. In Pantheon, you'll be fighting some of Destiny 2's most notorious enemies, including raid bosses such as Oryx, Rhulk, Nezarec and more!

Through this difficult new gamemode, Guardians will be able to earn their weight in glimmer, as plenty of Exotics, emblems, patterns, and even deepsight versions of some fan-favorite raid weapons. Though the finer details have yet to be revealed, it seems as though every round will conclude when either the boss or the fireteam is eliminated, or the timer expires.

Furthermore, there will be roating modifiers that will change the flow of every fight, and are likely to include Surges, Threats and certain enemy-specific amplifiers. Bungie has also warned that certain mechanics may be different for Pantheon versions of popular bosses, so you need to be on your toes and ready to adapt to any unforseen changes.

In terms of Rewards, Pantheon will offer weapon patterns, unique emblems and several Raid Exotics as potential rewards, alongside unique Pantheon Triumphs whose completion will grant the title of Godslayer. In order to earn said Exotics, you'll need to complete a new quest called Divine Weaponry, available for pickup from Arcite 99-40 in the Hall of Champions. After every completed gauntlet, Arcite will be the one offering Guardians their hard earned rewards, including weapons such as:

  • One Thousand Voices
  • Eyes of Tomorrow
  • Collective Obligation
  • Touch of Malice
  • Conditional Finality

And more. This is all we know for now, but we'll be on the lookout for new information, so stay tuned!
